2015. Oil on canvas. 50x150cm. 40th Birthday present from husband to wife. The only instruction was to
portray the family, the rest was left up to me. A Greek Island was mentioned, and that they both like the
hidden depths of Loz's cove (below). The dimensions were specifed.
My Favourite Commissions
I chose these particular paintings because each one gave me a certain sense of achievement on completion, or they showed encouraging signs of improvement.
Mixed media on perspex. 200x140cm Shower room mural. Designed to fill one wall of a wet room, painted on perspex and framed in toughened glass.
The commission was to paint a cove, and create an open, peaceful environment but one in which you could loose yourself the further you look!
I needed to achieve a good likeness of the couple for
this commission, and to make it somehow personal
to them. I had the aid of some photos.
